The Parish of Lyttelton is a welcoming community, small in number but strong in spirit. The parish is praying for a capable and enthusiastic part-time priest willing to take on a big challenge in a small church. Lyttelton is a busy port town with a 24/7 operation. It is the main port of the South Island and serves Christchurch, the nearby city of approximately 350,000 people and much of the South Island. Lyttelton, officially a suburb of Christchurch, has its own distinct identity. It is home to a varied socio-economic mix, some who work in the marine industry and the port, others who work in Christchurch. The beautiful St Saviour’s at Holy Trinity church has been elevated to a Category 1 on the New Zealand Heritage List. There is one Anglican Sunday service but the church is intentionally for the whole community and is used by different denominations. A parish profile and an expression of interest form are available by emailing the office of Bishop Victoria Matthews, or by phoning (03) 348 6701. Applications, which must include a CV, a response to the profile of not more than four pages, and a statement about your faith and personal approach to ministry, are requested by Tuesday, 15th May 2018, and are to be sent to
