The Parish of Woodend-Pegasus is an all-age parish just 25 kilometres out of Christchurch, in North Canterbury.  While only half-time at present, it hopes to become a full-time appointment in the next few years.  The parish is praying for an energetic Vicar who will be empathetic to all age groups, will continue the support and training of pastoral visitors and is both liturgically gifted and an excellent preacher.  Challenges include strengthening the relationship with the two new subdivisions in the parish.  In years to come the parish may need to expand the parish building to meet the needs of the congregation.  A parish profile and an expression of interest form are available from the office of Bishop Victoria Matthews:  or by phoning 03-348 6701.  Applications must include a CV, a response to the profile of not more than four pages, and a statement about your faith and personal approach to ministry, and are to be sent to by 31 January 2018.
