NZACPE course for Otago and Southland (based in Dunedin), 18 January – 24 March 2018, to be conducted by Chaplain Mary R. Huie-Jolly,

Clinical Pastoral Education aims to enhance pastoral identity and competence through supervised exploration of ministry practice.  Participants will gorw in self-awareness of how they relate to others through use of a peer group for support and feedback, and integrate theology and behavioural science with spiritual care.

The CPE group will meet Thursday and Friday evenings, and occasionally on a Saturday morning.  The venue for CPE will be the Knox Centre for Ministry and Leadership, Arden Street, Opoho, Dunedin. Participants need to arrange engagement in ministry concurrent with the CPE course for approximately 20 hours a week; this can include all kinds of (paid or unpaid) chaplaincy, parish or agency work, including meetings involving interpersonal interaction and care for persons.

Interested persons are encouraged to contact  Mary Huie-Jolly by email or phone.  For a 2017-2018 CPE application and additional CPE background information, visit the NZACPE website.
