St Alban’s Anglican Parish is located in the beautiful suburb of Eastbourne.  Nestled between the bush and the sea, Eastbourne is thirty minutes’ drive from central Wellington.  The people of Eastbourne and the Bays are known for their strong and supportive community focus.  St Alban’s actively contributes to the community and offers outreach groups and hospitality.

St Alban’s also provides chaplaincy to Wellesley College which is an Anglican school for boys Year 0-8.  We currently worship at their chapel/hall after engineering investigations of our church building and hall resulted in their closure in August 2016 due to potential earthquake risk.  At present we are involved in a consultation process as we seek to provide facilities for our parish and future generations.

We are looking forward to welcoming our new Vicar who can enable, mentor and encourage our existing team as we worship together and work towards our goals to:

§  be a community which deepens discipleship and encourages mission and outreach to all

§  offer worship opportunities for everyone

§  strengthen the parish connection with Wellesley College and support it’s Anglican ethos

§  continue the parish’s ministry of contemplative prayer, retreat, and hospitality

§  provide facilities to best meet the worship, ministry, and mission priorities of the parish
