Rev. Carol Roth will offer training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level II (Part I & II) aimed at those working with children ages 6-12.
The course will include presentations on: characteristics of children aged 6-12, how we work with children and Biblical Texts, the parables, the eucharist, baptism, prayer, Biblical geography and moral formation.
The course is for Sunday School teachers, children’s liturgy of the word leaders, parents, chaplains, RE teachers, catechists; anyone who works with children’s faith formation. Training will be offered by Rev. Carol Roth, a deacon from the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane. Carol has been a certified Catechesis of the Good Shepherd formation (CGS) leader for over 15 years.
The CGS is a Montessori-based approach to the religious formation of children, rooted in Sacred Scripture, liturgy, and respect for the child’s rich relationship with God.
The CGS is used in parishes and schools of different denominations around the world.
Dates: Thursday 29th June, Friday 30th June & Saturday 1st July: 9.30am – 4.30pm
Sunday 2nd July 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Monday 3rd July 9.30am – 12.30pm
