PARISH OF CHURTON PARK, NORTH WELLINGTON.
Churton Park is one of the fastest growing communities in Wellington. It has a diverse multicultural population.
The Vicar is supported by a paid Parish Secretary who works three days per week. Our parish has an active congregation with parishioners participating in a wide range of community-facing ministries. We have several home groups that promote prayer, bible study and discipleship. Our Vestry includes a core group of leaders committed to the Great Commission and the deepening our spiritual journey with Christ.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Vicar who has the ability to relate to all ages – especially families with young children and teens as we plan to develop our children’s ministry over the next five years.
We own a 5 bedroom Church House close to a local primary school where we hold weekly Church services. We work closely with neighbouring Anglican churches to provide an active youth programme. Accommodation will be provided either through Church House or through an accommodation allowance. The parish also has an office attached to Church House where the Vicar would be based. The new Vicar would ideally commence work after Easter 2017.
