Diocesan School for Girls is a high performing independent Anglican School with an outstanding reputation for excellence in all aspects of achievement. The School seeks a Chaplain with proven leadership skills. Responsible for the worshipping life of the school and services in the Chapel of our Glorified Lord, the role provides spiritual leadership to the school community. Contributing to the strategic direction of the school as a member of the Executive Team, leadership of the school service learning programme, community engagement and delivering pastoral care are integral parts of the role.
The successful applicant should be an Anglican Priest (preferably of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia), have teaching and tertiary theology qualifications and be skilled in communicating effectively with children, adolescents and adults. Willingness to become involved in the School’s cultural, academic and sporting life is key. The Chaplain leads the spiritual nurturing of the community and is a spiritual advisor to the Principal.
