Vicar – St Andrew’s Anglican Parish, Taupō – Full-time position
The Anglican Parish of Taupō seeks to appoint a full-time vicar who offers enthusiastic, motivated leadership within a traditional setting, who is willing to empower laity, and continue the parish engagement with the local community.
As one of the larger congregations in the Bay of Plenty region of the Waiapu Diocese, St Andrew’s is an active church community offering a variety of services and ministries catering for the needs of its parishioners and local community. Music plays an important part in church life offering traditional worship alongside the more contemporary. Regular monthly choral Evensong with choirs is part of the regular service pattern.
The church is within easy walking distance of the retail centre of the town centre. The Vicarage is situated immediately behind the church on the neighbouring street.
Situated on the lake’s edge overlooked by Mount Ruapehu, Taupō offers its residents wonderful views, a large range of outdoor activities and a stimulating community with which to engage.
