We are an evangelical Anglican Parish, who are seeking an experienced leader who is biblically focused and spirit-filled, with a gift of biblical interpretation and teaching.
We are seeking someone to guide our Parish and lead us through tough decision making in the future as we downsize from three churches in our Parish.
We have different types of services each week, Holy Communion to Family Services to Prayer and Praise evenings. We are looking for someone who is open to different types and styles of worship.
We seek a priest who understands a multi-centred parish. Our parish is a mixture of rural, semi-rural and urban.
We are on the lookout for someone who will help us grow, both in numbers and in faith.
We seek someone who is mission focused, both local and overseas. We are community mission focused and seek a leader who will help us to continue to develop in this area.
In 2016 we intend to create a new vision for our Parish. We seek someone who will be able to help guide and support us through this process.
Most importantly of all we seek someone who is Christ-centred, Spirit-led and will accept God’s will for our Parish.

An exciting opportunity for ministry exists within this parish in Christchurch. As our Vicar has retired we are looking for a new Vicar. Our parish is located very close to the sea and our focus is on ministering to our communities, forming disciples and building up the body of Christ in our various congregations.
We are an evangelical church that embraces and lives an open, generous and Christ-centred mission. Our worship encompasses both contemporary and traditional styles. We aim to build on the best of the past as we embark on the next step of our journey towards continued growth of our church, mission and outreach. We have one Fresh Expression called the Board Room which reaches out to those who surf, skate-board and do other ‘board’ activities.

Parish of Halswell-Prebbleton – full time vicar
We are an Anglican Parish in a rapidly growing area on the southern boundary of Christchurch City. Both Halswell and Prebbleton have extensive new housing areas which gives us real potential for growth.
Our Mission Statement is: “Living the Way of Jesus. Sharing our Life Together. Reaching out in God’s Love”
The Parish is viable and able to support full time ordained ministry with part time assistance, facilitating our activities at both centres.
Saint Mary’s Anglican Church, hall and office and spacious grounds, are centrally situated in Halswell, opposite the major retail facilities, offering a very visible presence.
All Saints Church and attached lounge occupies a prominent site at the northern end of Prebbleton, which is 7km from Saint Mary’s.
Removed, but handy to Saint Mary’s, is our modern vicarage situated among similar homes.
We seek a vicar who:
Is a team leader
Has good communication skills
Understands the worship needs of both our young people and those who are older.
Will support and encourage our young people’s programmes.
Will engage with our local business people and our local communities.
Will help us undertake the challenge of growing our church in each centre, both of which are undergoing extraordinary growth.
Will help us fulfil our Parish Mission statement.
